Webinars and support groups: what’s the difference?
The webinars and the groups explore many of the same themes. What changes is how you take part.
The webinars
Learn
- Key findings from Dr. Smith’s research on how mothers are affected by their adult children’s struggles
- Ideas that can help you make sense of your own experience
- Hear the questions other mothers are asking, and send in your own
The support groups
Connect
- A small, confidential group of no more than 10 mothers, meeting for 10 weeks
- Bring themes like guilt, mother-blame and chronic sorrow into your own life, and talk about them together
- Share your own mothering story with women who have lived something similar
“For most participants, the feeling of being understood and able to tell your story to others who truly get it is unique and potentially transformative.”Dr. Judith R. Smith
Mothers’ groups begin January 12 (daytime) and February 1 (evening). Each begins with a one-on-one consultation.
